You have questions,
we have answers. Hopefully.

The Pets

  • Yeah. About that… our pets will not be there. We’re sad about it too. But it’s really best for everyone. Saul would trip Zoë as she walks down the aisle while the cats poisoned themselves with every flower they could find.

  • His human best friend is his mother. Then Connor. Then the treat mama aka Cary (Zoë’s mom) because she always has the best (you guessed it)…treats.

If you’re asking about his canine bff -it’s Luna his rowdy JRT/chihuahua mix doggy neighbor.

  • CeCe would be a kiwi. It’s unclear how she even came to be on this earth, but like a kiwi, is equally delightful (in an unexpected way).

Also, if you’re allergic to kiwi you are probably also allergic to CeCe.

  • Toys purchased at a pet store: large, round fuzzy mouse.

Toys purchased at the grocery store: coffee beans.

General

  • Because Zoë‘s parents got married on Sunday! They also wanted to (but didn’t end up) get married outside so we’re doing that too.

  • We're not super into the whole social media thing these days. You're welcome to take photos and share on social media, but we ask that you wait until AFTER the wedding to do so. We want everyone to be fully present and enjoying the wedding with us!

  • Correct! We’re big fans of science and people feeling safe during this pandemic. We want everyone to have a great time at the wedding, including the bride and groom, so we are requiring that all attendees be fully vaccinated.

  • We're calling the dress code "dressy casual".

    Brides.com defines dressy casual as:

Opt for light colors and fabrics for a daytime event. Try a below-the-knee dress or a dressy skirt and top. An elegant pantsuit is also appropriate. Floor-length gowns, however, would be inappropriate. Pair with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats. Since the ceremony is being held outdoors and you'll be walking across a lawn, avoid traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass. Men should wear a dress shirt and slacks, dark or light depending on the time of day, with the option to wear a tie.

  • Per a weather aggregation website, the average daily temperature in May ranges from 58°F to 80°F. I'm sure you're saying to yourself - well, that isn't helpful at all.

Our best suggestion is to check the weather before you come. Then dress accordingly.

  • Yep! Rain or shine the wedding will take place.

Venue

  • Yes! We are getting married in Zoë's parents' backyard. You see this referred to as the Bernstein/Kronovet or Bernovet residence. We are grateful that Cary and Alan are generously sharing their mid-century modern home as our venue!

  • Great question, guest!

We’d be very grateful if you’d Uber/Lyft/Yellow Cab it. There will be parking along the street, but taking a ride share would probably be easier.

Also, we'll be offering alcoholic drinks and want everyone to have a good time so long as they can be safe getting home. If you're planning on imbibing, we recommend that you do not drive. Instead, take a ride share or grab a ride with a generous friend.

  • Yes! The driveway is long and you'll have to contend with some grass and a wee bit of gravel, but it is wheelchair accessible!
